Emotion
This is the famous statue of raising the flag at Iwo Jima. Dick and I were overcome with many emotions. I wanted to capture the feelings of pride and struggle rather than photograph just the whole statue which is the image we see so often.

Perfection---by narrowing the focus, you intensified the emotion of the statue. I love this view of it--so effective!
Great focus on the hands. I really like it.
I love it! I love the focus on their hands and the symbolism it has of the teamwork and effort that America was founded on, if we don't help each other then where would we be?
You have such a tremendous eye for composition. This is a very powerful photo - you're amazing!
